This picture is me.
I lost my place today. I have nowhere to live. I have 9 dollars, less than a quarter tank of gas, and a subcompact car to live in.
It's worse than my situation has ever been.
I do have my meds.
If I didn't, I would kill myself tonight. I say that in all earnestness.
I am so tired of trying, so exhausted with the bullshit, so tired of trying.
I quit.
I had a hell of a time trying to get my Food Stamp stuff done online today...hours and hours of empty phone calls and pointless web searches, with the woman I stay with harping on me about getting it done.
Finally, I stressed out and got a little bit pissed. It was enough for her to decide I had to leave.
It wasn't that big of a deal, but it's her place and that settles that.
No apologies, no working things out, no nothing.
I'm fucked.
At least I have a pack of cheap cigs.

Sorry to hear this. If you were in KY you could crash on our couch or something for a while.
ReplyDeleteAlso sorry to hear this. Praying something better happens soon.
ReplyDeletehope you can find some local support.... in dc there is a national alliance on mental illness group that is helpful in situations like these... maybe one in florida?
ReplyDeleteAw [expletive]! How many days/weeks of meds do you have left?
ReplyDeleteI just refilled yesterday, thank God.
ReplyDeleteIf I weren't so far away, I have a place for you, too. This really sucks.
ReplyDeletekeep your head up... will pray for some opportunities to come your way... stay strong... and don't believe the lies.

ReplyDeletePraying for you, brother. Really. Let me know what I can do to help.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh Gene.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to say...
I have a couch, and my brother has a spare bedroom. We're less than an hour from Tallahassee...
ReplyDeleteMitch, I think I've got a situation in St. Pete with a pastor down there who wants to get me involved in some stuff down there, including a new church plant and working alongside the head chaplain at Eckerd College. I'll keep you informed. Thanks, Brother.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it could eventually involve their College Bowl team, who knows? See you on the circuit?
Rae, I just filled up yesterday. Perfect timing. Thanks for asking...
ReplyDeleteGene,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about this situation. I am hopeful for you. I'll keep praying for that miracle.
